David Hepler, President of Windbreaker Windows, Inc has an entrepreneurial spirit. He is always seeking ways to enhance his skills and knowledge as well as those who work with him, leading him on his journey to provide the area with quality businesses, products, and services.
Dave’s father was a brick layer so Dave started his career as a masonry laborer working for his father’s company. He was an experienced brick mason by the time he was 18 and at age 20 he was running his own masonry crews.

As the housing and new construction markets slumped in the early 1990’s, Dave continued working for his father as a brick layer but in order to supplement his income he managed a vacuum store, sold cars at a local auto dealership, and did small masonry side jobs.

In 1994, as the economy was beginning to rebound, Dave launched his first venture. Armed with a small amount of construction, sales, and management experience he began purchasing lots and building spec homes in the move-up housing market. He built his first 8 homes doing business as Hepler Construction. Meanwhile he worked with other local builders helping each of them to deliver 30 or more homes per year.

In 1999 Dave created his first corporation; Hepler Construction Co., Inc. Over the next 7 years the company and its affiliate companies purchased, developed, built and sold more than 300 properties. Dave has started and managed several affiliate companies over the years including:
Hepler Holdings LLC, Sherando LLC, Hermitage LLC, Boyd's Crossing LLC, and Winchester Development LLC.
His companies have provided quality homes and housing products and services for hundreds of area residents over the last decade.

In 2007 Hepler Construction Co., Inc launched its remodeling division Windbreaker Windows. Dave knew that homeowners were concerned about the economic climate. That the value of their homes and other investments were declining while energy costs were on the rise, and how everyone is becoming more aware of their own environmental impact.

Windbreaker Windows has become the area's largest exterior remodeler. We continue to grow and expand in spite of current market conditions. We believe that this success is due to the fact that we educate consumers so that they may choose the very best energy saving products available for their homes at extremely competative prices. We guarantee a minimum of 30% savings in energy costs to our customers or we pay the difference. We have continued the Dave Hepler tradition of providing the highest quality products, worry free installation, an impecable customer service.

We currently service the Interstate 81 corridor from Harrisonburg VA to Chambersburg PA including the Eastern Panhandle of WV. We also service Northern Va and Parts of Maryland. Follow us as we continue to grow and expand over the coming months and years.
