OCEAN PILLAR ©1997 SKY HIGH PRODUCTIONS The pillar sits at the end of a private beach in Watch Hill, RI. At first glance you would think it was weird since it is a one mile walk to end of the beach. But once you walk over the sand dune and see the remains of the WW1 bunkers, it all makes since. This was a simple B&W photo. Simple and impressive by itself, but missing something. After scanning in the photo, I selected the pillar and added a brown tint. I also sharpened the image to stand out. I selected the water next and gave it a murky blue. I also blurred the water to make the pillar stand out more. The sky got a quick blast of cyan.
